Movie Trailer: Crazy on the Outside
This may actually be worth seeing. I'm a little surprised. When I first heard of this and found out Tim Allen was directing, my expectations were pretty low. The trailer does a good job of selling it.

My prediction is this will have some good bits but the pacing will be a little lagging. Why would I say this? Good comedic cast directed by a comedic actor - a comedic actor with a relatively short directing resume.

Movie Trailer: Powder Blue
The film tells the tale of a strip club owner, one of the strippers, a former priest, a former criminal, a current transsexual and a mopey mortician. They all come together in yet another mash of despirate sounding dialog and exaspirated expressions. Looks like another depressing, doesn't life suck ensemble piece. Toss in the fact that it takes place on Christmas Eve and the inherient Catholic elements (note the former priest), there's sure to be a theological tone to the piece. Perhaps I'm a tad jaded but I'm doubting the theological part will add up to much. Let's hope I'm proven wrong. I enjoy Forest Whitaker and Ray Liotta. Given their involvement, I'll search this one out.

Narc (2002)
Should I see it?
Nope.

Short Review:
Sometimes actors can outshine the script they are working with. Of course, the problem is that no matter how great the acting is, the script still stinks.

I don’t have much to add to the short review above. Ray Liotta and Jason Patrick are very good in this flawed and depressing film. The production itself doesn't offer too much in return for your investment of time other than infusing more depression into your life. Watch the film and perhaps you'll give it a second thought later in the day and then wonder why you’re in such a foul mood. If you’re already cranky and want to pile on some bad vibes, this is the flick for you. If you’re not big into that whole “the world is horrible and everything is corrupt” thing, keep moving away from this movie and don’t look back.

Movie Trailer: Observe and Report
I like that movie where Seth Rogen plays the underachieving, morally retarded dolt.

Talk about bad timing. You're in a bad spot when your film looks like a derivative of Paul Blart: Mall Cop. In my book the only thing sparks any interest is the presence of Anna Faris, who I still contend is a under appreciated comedian. I'm willing to bet she will be the highlight of the whole production.

Movie Trailer: Crossing Over
Too bad my great grandfather August Nehring escaped the troubles of Germany to come to America too soon. If he just waited eventually multi-millionaire Hollywood bed wetting libs would make a movie outlining his plight...oh wait, he's a non-Irish white guy - they don't count. That and its the Americans who believe in silly things like law and order and a firm border are the bad guys. Sorry, I always get that mixed up. My default is a logical and orderly immigration policy not based on human interest story dramatics - stupid me.

Honestly, "what are the borders of freedom?" Geez, I don't know, maybe the one's that are defended and actually have meaning?
