A very stock follow up to the wildly successful first two Terminator movies. The production is stymied by a lack of creativity. The story has already been told, we know the players and which way things are going to go. There aren't any surprises, no meaningful explorations into the characters, and no revelations. Although some of the action film fireworks are nicely played, the film overall fails to live up to the franchise. Ultimately it never gets beyond being what it is, a cheap attempt at squeezing some spare change out of the cash cow.
