I have to admit to being mistaken. I was under the delusion that when a Democrat was in office, especially with a Democratic congress, that we'd be seeing films aimed at the "conservative" demographic. If for no other reason than, as Batman proved, they're out there and willing to pay huge amounts of money for the right film.
Obviously, I was wrong wrong wrong.
Alright, that's enough! I can take all of the crappy horror remakes because, let's face it. most of the originals weren't any good anyway. But c'mon!!! The opening credits to the 1974 version are better than this whole trailer. The first four notes of David Shire's original theme are better than this trailer! And even though it looks like Denzel is finally tipping over into Morgan Freeman territory here, how do you replace Walter Matthau? This is one of the first times I've actually gotten mad over a remake.
I can't take it anymore! Most of the horror remakes are fine because, let's face it, the originals were mostly bad to begin with. But this? The opening credits to the 1974 version were better than this whole trailer. The first four notes of David Shire's original theme were better than this trailer! And Denzel can try and riff on Morgan Freeman all he wants to here, there's just no competing with Walter Matthau's performance from the first Pelham. This remake actually makes me mad.
