Despite what you hear, sex in movies is a big deal. We pull many of our social norm cues from what we see in the media. The constant stream of consequence-free sex in films promotes a dangerous choice. Yeah, yeah, yeah, sex is a blast, but the fact is that premarital and extramarital sex carries a whole host of consequences (in particular if your partner is a host and carries something). Films that show characters sleeping around and don't bother with the downside (either physical or emotional) are lying. I'm not necessarily saying all films have to stop a sex scene and explain the way of the world, but it's important to remember that films are showing illusions of real life and the lessons they impart can do damage when taken out of the cinema.
