Movie Trailer: Knowing
Compelling premise but I'm not sure where they're going with it. A kid from the early sixties puts a long list of numbers in a time capsule. Fifty years later when that list is studied it is discovered it lists the dates of terrible catastrophes along with the number of the dead. The proposal for the audience is "What happens when the numbers run out?"

Since the answer would probably be "not much", it gives me pause and makes me think the marketing is better than the actual product.

Given that the story, as presented here, doesn't appear to have a set villain, the narrative has a high probability of wandering. On top of this, the movie centers on the occult goofiness that is numerology and Nicholas Cage is the front man. The obvious question here is does the list have the date of 032009, the release date of the film, along with the number of audience members? Because I think this may be a disaster of notable size.

Nick Cage seems to have a long hair cycle... he grows it out long just before he cuts it off about every fourth movie, i.e. ConAir, Next and now Bangkok Express

Sometimes it seems like his choice in projects is as irrational as picking them based on how he plans to have his hair coiffed.
