Movie Trailer: Public Enemies
Not sure the music really works for a period piece.

It works for schlocky Hollywood crap though.

This could be a good piece of fluff, no-mind cinema. Could just be another lionization of criminals too.

Movie Trailer: Blade
A pretty effective piece of flash and bang fluff. It's a bit too impressed with itself and was missing the winking acknowledgment of it's own stupidity that made it's sequels more entertaining. That and Stephen Dorff acts takes his role way too seriously and ends up looking foolish.

Movie Trailer: Felon
Personally, this has Sam Shepard in it, which means I'm seeing it.

Looking beyond that, the trailer doesn't give much to really draw us in. The cause for the lead (Stephen Dorff) to be sent to prison is compelling, but there's no real sense what the purpose of the story is beyond that. The point I take away from the trailer is that prison is violent and unpleasant. Okay, I get it, and...?

Beware of trailers that tell too much or too little.
