Movie Trailer: Cherrybomb
This trailer makes it look more like Stink Bomb.

This could be the best film ever made, this trailer does its best to keep it hidden. What's better than a series of random shots of young adults acting like messed up morons? That will surly pack the theaters. "Hey look, Weasley is all adult and strung out!"

Screenwriter: Daragh Carville
Directors: Lisa Barros D'Sa and Glenn Leyburn
Actors: Rupert Grint (Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix), Robert Sheehan and Kimberly Dixon

Excuse me... :) I have seen this film 3 times now. It just won the audience award from the Belfast Film Festival, and David Holmes got a nomination for the soundtrack. It's an indie film but the acting is great and Belfast has never had a movie representing it like this so the natives are proud of it and so are Rupert's fans. He's brilliant in the film.

Why be so harsh? This movie is the director's debut film and it is an indie so it's not going to be the typical big budget film but it is a good one. I seen it three times and loved it. Rupert Grint was amazing, and Belfast natives are proud to finally have a teen movie representing them. Cherrybomb also just won the audience award at the Belfast Film Festival and the soundtrack was nominated for an award too. It won't be for everybody, but the acting is solid and the directing is very unique, colorful and artsy. People should appreciate films like this more. Not everything has to be so manufactured.

I'm being harsh on the trailer - it does not do its job.

If you've seen the film and say that its great, I'm willing to believe you and give it some consideration. Based on the marketing, this looks like little more than another youth strung out flick. If it is as good as you claim then the ad above isn't playing to the film's strengths nor is it exposing the film's depths.
