Movie Trailer: Mermaid
This looks very interesting. I've heard some very good things about the film. The ad's connecting it to Amelie is smart. It certainly seems that even though his is Russian and Amelie is French, the two productions are cut from the same cloth.

Movie Trailer: 12
Its can be a hard read to discern if a foreign language film is any good by watching the trailer. The cultural and language barriers are hard to overcome in the few seconds the marketing department has to get their job done. In this case, the trailer is compelling and the film certainly looks good. This film, the latest from Nikita Mikhalkov who is one of the most important Russian filmmakers working right now, was nominated for Best Foreign Language Film.
