Just Because You Close Your Eyes Doesn't Mean the World Goes Away
Steven D. Greydanus from Decent Films Guide has a great article on the National Catholic Register. He discusses the impulse by many Christians to disregard film and entertainment as being sinful and wrong. I see this mostly in Evangelical circles, but there are Catholics who dip their foot in the intolerance pool as well.

"“Grey area” doesn’t mean that everything is equally worthy of suspicion, or that it makes no difference what we embrace or reject. It does mean that there’s no getting around the need to exercise prudential judgment, and that embracing or rejecting anything should be a qualified and critical act."

Good stuff.
