Movie Watching Tip: G-Rated Doesn't Mean Good
We all know that a G-Rating means General Audience and everyone can watch the movie not and be offended. You can take a three year old and your elderly Aunt Minnie to the flick. Just because a film is devoid of offensive material doesn't mean its a movie worth seeing. I'm not speaking of quality but of messages. A G-Rated film can still contain messages some parents will want to be mindful of.

An example is the promotion of Paganism (Hercules) or animal worship/eco-spirituality beliefs (Brother Bear). These types of messages are a concern for Christian parents. Before you let the young ones view a film, look beyond the ratings and consider what a film says.

yes!

Of course, some of these elements can be digested within a careful and consciously directed and discussed home life....but you certainly cannot fall into thinking that "inoffensive" means "salutary"!!!

The problem is that with "family entertainment" many parents don't bother to discuss the content with their kids because they just assume its all good.

The fact is that parents have to be hyper vigilant with kids products because they're so influential on their developing minds. When I see Nickelodeon, Disney or other venues like that, I am struck by the political and philosophical agendas being pushed. Most parents don't see it.
