Movie Watching Tip: You Are What You See
Unless the film has the gravity of being "important" like Schindler's List, Saving Private Ryan or Philadelphia, most people don't give what they watch much thought. "It's just a movie" is the usual line of thinking.

In truth, all films, even the stupid ones, contain meaning and impact your life. Films are a form of communication and impart worldview, and values to their audience. The consumption of film is like the consumption of food. A continual diet of sweets will take the healthiest marathon runner and turn him into a bloated mass of a person lounging on the couch trying to fish out the last peanut from their Peanut Buster Parfait™ with their thumb. Likewise, watching lowbrow humor like Jackass, Harold and Kumar or any of the various stupid National Lampoon movies won’t make you a moron right away, but it's a good way to get started on that road. You can change the phrase from being “you are what you eat” to “you are what you see”.
