Dirty Harry (1971)
Should I see it?
Yes.

Clint Eastwood explodes in the role he was born to play, Harry Callahan. His performance in the movie is worthy of the iconic status it has received. Although this introduction to Callahan is very violent and promotes vigilantism, I recommend this on a couple of grounds. First it is a hallmark of American popular cinema and is important. From product placement to reformulating the revenge movie, this film has had a huge impact on our culture. The other reason I recommend this film is because despite its questionable morality, this is a blunt but still interesting look at revenge in the face of lacking human justice.
