That was an interesting video.

I remember reading his books as a kid and a teenager, with great fondness.

Call me clueless, but I had no idea that he was of a small-government bent.

I've been a huge Bradbury fan since I read "I Sing the Body Electric" in a collection of Twilight Zone stories--I was probably 12 or 13 at the time. I read everything I could get my hands on. When I was a freshman in college, my dad sent me an old copy of The Martian Chronicles, and I fell in love, both with Bradbury's writing and with the Red Planet itself.

I had the privilege of meeting him in Pasadena a few years ago--a community theater performs his works as one-act plays, and he always attends opening night, and spends about a hour just talking to the audience.

He may be 90 and ill health, but he's still the master: 5 minutes into his talk, and we were all enraptured.

God bless Ray Bradbury!
