As a sign of how far our country has progressed in the stamping out racism department, notice how racism is presented in film. 90% of the time racism is no longer shown in modern settings in the movies. To make their points about racism, Hollywood constantly has to return to the Civil Rights Era. Since African-Americans have had the doors of power opened to them for forty years, it's a little much to pretend whites are still snarling at them as they walk by. Filmmakers have to breathe life into the bitter history of decades long past in order to make their point that America is a racist society.Labels: movie watching tip
