Columbia Gains Rights to Isaac Asimov's Foundation Trilogy
So they're going ahead with an adaptation of Isaac 's Foundation series.
They've announced that Roland Emmerich (The Day After Tomorrow, 10,000 B.C.) will direct.
Makes sense to me. Its reverse logic. They have material that clearly won't make for a good movie so they got a guy who clearly doesn't make good movies. This thing will end up being better than The Godfather and Lawrence of Arabia combined.
