Movie Watching Tip: Antichrist Christian Films
When watching Christians films, note how much attention the story pays to the villain. Often you will find the villain is the real focus of the film, not the hero nor Christ. This was more of an issue with the turn-of-the-century Christian films that delved into apocalyptic storylines. Films such as The Omega Code and Deceived are more about the Antichrist than its about Christ or his followers.

Just because a film claims to be Christian doesn't mean it as the right focus. It is important when a film claims the "Christian" title that it remain not only Biblically based but also strongly Christian in its delivery.

hey, would love to see a list of what you think are exemplary Christian films, perhaps a sort of "ingredients list" of films that have *partial* greatness in one way or another, even if they don't measure up in others. What are the elements, what are good exemplars, and what would it be like if we put them together?

I agree, you should make a good Christian films list. As a Christian I find that Christians often make terrible, very un-Christian films. I would call them Christploitation...especially those of The Omega Code or Left Behind ilk.

To me some of the most Christian films were made by non-Christians. Dead Man Walking, Into The Wild, The Gospel According To St. Matthew. These were all made by non-christians and in St. Matthew's case a gay, atheist, marxist. I am just wondering if you have seen good Christian films that I may have missed out on.
